About

Rebecca Mcdermott is a Music Composer, Sound Designer and Guitarist from Halifax, West Yorkshire who has been active in the Music Industry since 2012. Rebecca has been writing music since she first learnt to play piano and guitar when she was 9 and hasn’t stopped since. Rebecca - better known as Bex - graduated with a BA in Popular Music and Music Technology from the University of Huddersfield in 2018 and then went on to complete a Masters in Music Production in 2022 and developed a passion for production music along the way.

Bex specialises in Sound Design and is hugely inspired by the video game soundtrack Cyberpunk 2077 as well as experimental Neo classical artists such as Vanbur and Vraell. Bex has many credits across different channels including Channel 4, Channel 5, BBC, ITV and more! She is currently working with multiple libraries including The Nerve, Little Wren Music, The Music Supervisors & MediaTracks on continuous new projects.
